Featuring over 25 members of the LGBT Congressional Equality Caucus, Rep. Maloney released a video titled “We’re With You,” which is aimed at showing solidarity and support for LGBT equality at a time when many federal, state and local leaders are advancing blatantly discriminatory policy proposals.

The Congressional LGBT Equality Caucus today denounced the House Rules Committee’s refusal to allow debate on stripping an anti-LGBT provision from the Fiscal Year 2017 National Defense Authorization Act. The provision, called the Russell Amendment, was placed in NDAA in the middle of the night during markup with no time to properly consider its scope or impact.

Leadership of the Congressional LGBT Equality Caucus today recommended that Members of Congress vote ‘No’ on final passage of the FY15 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). The recommendation is based on Section 1094 of NDAA, which undermines protections for LGBT employees of federal contractors and grantees.
