Ripping Away Our Freedoms: How House Republicans are Working to Implement Project 2025’s Assault on LGBTQI+ Americans’ Rights — (October 2024)
The Congressional Equality Caucus’s Ripping Away Our Freedom report is a follow-up report to the CEC’s Obsessed report and covers how House Republicans worked to implement Project 2025’s planned attacks on the rights of LGBTQI+ people throughout the 118th Congress. This report highlights how as part of this effort, House Republicans held more than 70 anti-LGBTQI+ votes on the House floor; filed more than 155 anti-LGBTQI+ amendments to bills going to the House floor; made, or invited witnesses who made, anti-LGBTQI+ Remarks in more than 75 committee hearings; and introduced more than 85 anti-LGBTQI+ bills. Note, this report only covers activities in the 118th Congress through October 2024.

The Congressional Equality Caucus’s Obsessed Report covers the avalanche of attacks on the LGBTQI+ community by the House Republican majority in the first session of the 118th Congress, including more than 50 anti-LGBTQI+ votes on the House floor, more than 95 anti-LGBTQI+ amendments made to bills going to the House floor, more than 40 committee hearings where Republicans (or their witnesses) made anti-LGBTQI+ remarks, and the more than 55 anti-LGBTQI+ bills introduced.
