Equality Caucus Remembers Club Q Shooting Victims Two Years Later
WASHINGTON, DC — Today, Rep. Mark Pocan (WI-02), Chair of the Congressional Equality Caucus, released the following statement in memory of the victims of the Club Q shooting in Colorado Springs, Colorado:
“Two years ago today, five innocent lives were stolen at Club Q in Colorado Springs in a senseless act of anti-LGBTQI+ violence,” said Rep. Mark Pocan, Chair of the Congressional Equality Caucus. “As we honor the memories of those taken, we must re-commit ourselves to working toward an end of the epidemic of violence against our community. Our members will continue working to protect every American, including those in the queer community, from violence, and urge our Congressional colleagues on both sides of the aisle to do the same.”
