CEC Remembers Club Q Shooting Victims, Three Years Later

November 19, 2025

WASHINGTON, DC — On November 19, 2022, five innocent clubgoers were murdered at Club Q, an LGBTQI+ nightclub in Colorado Springs, Colorado. In remembrance of the victims of this terrible hate crime, Congressional Equality Caucus Chair Rep. Mark Takano (CA-39) released the following statement:

“Today marks just three years since Daniel Davis Aston, Kelly Loving, Ashley Paugh, Derrick Rump, and Raymond Green Vance were murdered at Club Q in a terrible act of hate-fueled violence,” said Rep. Mark Takano, Chair of the Congressional Equality Caucus. “To truly honor their memories, it falls on every one of us to take up the fight against anti-LGBTQI+ hate, end the epidemic of violence plaguing our community, and work towards a day where no one fears becoming a victim of violence because of who they are or who they love.”
